Spring Summer 2013
“In under two years Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have transformed Kenzo from toothless sleeping tiger to one of fashion’s most fiercely followed brands.” (telegraph)
As if taking us on an imaginary ride into the wild, the collection featured safari jackets, utilitarian details, and muted, neutral shades of forest green and sandy beige. But, as expected,it was Kenzo’s unbeatable prints that stole the show. Leon and Lim have completely re-envisioned the animal print — their version is unexpected, brilliantly colourful, and irresistibly charming, all at once. Delighted by the exotic florals and botanical prints that appeared on collared dresses, flowing onesies, silky suit-and-jacket combos, and chic collarless coats. An A+ Collection (Refinery29)
